National Health Center Week, August 13-19
Unity Care NW has a full slate of events scheduled in recognition of this year’s National Health Center Week:
- Bellingham Mayor Kelli Linville, Whatcom County Executive Jack Louws, and Ferndale Mayor Jon Mutchler are proclaiming the week as “Community Health Center Week.”
- On Tuesday, August 15, volunteers from the League of Women Voters will be staffing a voter registration table from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of our health center at 220 Unity St., Bellingham.
- With Sea Mar Community Health Centers, we are hosting a showing of “Chasing Heroin: Investigating an American Crisis” at the Pickford Film Center on the evening of Tuesday, August 15. The film investigations the country’s opiate addiction crisis. A panel discussion will follow. Free tickets are available at the Pickford Film Center.
- And we will be recognizing the staff, community partners, and patients who make our work possible throughout the week.
