Celebrating Samson Rope on Arborist Appreciation Day

Being an arborist is physically demanding and dangerous work. Arborists assess risk, diagnose tree disease, plan long-term care for the canopy we all share, and respond in the aftermath of storms. Doing that work safely requires specialized knowledge and specialized equipment. The difference between the right rope and the wrong one can mean the difference between coming home and not. A climbing line, for example, is designed for life support during ascent, positioning, and descent, while a rigging line is designed to handle

loads when lowering limbs or sections.

Today for National Arborist Appreciation Day we’re proud to celebrate these hardworking professionals and companies like Samson Rope, who make their work possible.

Samson Rope, headquartered right here in Whatcom County, has been a trusted name in high-performance rope and rigging for more than a century. As a company, Samson Rope goes beyond material production by offering training and certifications designed to share expertise and increase safety, as well as a guide to climbing lines so that arborists can get the information they need to choose the right equipment for the right job. That investment and care for the people they serve is something we share.

And their care for this community doesn’t stop at the worksite. They’ve forged strong partnerships and contribute to several local Whatcom County non-profits. Their community giving focuses on key areas where they can make the most meaningful impact:

  • Breaking the Cycle of Poverty
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Enriching Children’s Lives
  • Safe and Healthy Lifestyles
  • Celebrating Diversity
