Bruce was an alcoholic, drug-addicted bartender, and for a few years, he was also homeless. He has struggled with epilepsy, headaches, and depression. Fourteen years ago, he chose Unity Care NW as his health care home and has taken control of his health and his life. Now, he has overcome his addictions, received treatment for his health issues, was able to secure housing thanks to connecting with other resources, and has become a certified peer counselor to help others recover. He is also now a member of our Board of Directors.
