National HIV Testing Day is June 27

We continue to make progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS. With treatment and medication, those living with HIV/AIDS can now lead full and fulfilling lives. But the fight isn’t over yet.

Tens of thousands of Americans continue to be diagnosed with HIV each year. Many of those living with HIV don’t know that they have the disease, which increases their risk of passing it on to others. Treatment is prevention. When HIV is treated and controlled, the chances of transmitting the disease are dramatically reduced.

If you haven’t been tested for HIV, Thursday, June 27 is your time to do so. A simple blood test is all that is needed.  Everyone should be tested at least once in their lifetime. Make an appointment by calling (360) 676-6177 today.

Take this opportunity to learn more about HIV, including prevention and treatment.
