Medicare Open Enrollment is coming soon! Unity Care NW is also pleased to now offer Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, free to you and 100% covered by Medicare.
Open Enrollment for Medicare Advantage and Medicare prescription drug coverage is October 15 through December 7.
Our Outreach and Enrollment staff provide free, unbiased information about your options and provide assistance with enrolling. They can also answer any questions you might have. Contact them at (360) 788-2669 or enrollment@ucnw.org to find a plan that will work for you.

A Community Health Plan of Washington representative will be available at our Bellingham Health Center at 220 Unity Street every Thursday from October 15th to December 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

An Annual Wellness Visit is a Medicare benefit that can help you detect and prevent disease and live your healthiest life.
A Medicare Annual Wellness Visit is not a physical exam. It is a one-on-one appointment with your health care provider to discuss your health over the past year, your health goals, and any concerns. It gives you a chance to talk about issues that may not be covered in a typical medical appointment. By checking in with your health care provider in this way each year, you can prevent illness and detect and treat any identified concerns early.

There is no co-pay or deductible for an Annual Wellness Visit.
To qualify, you must have had Medicare Part B coverage for at least 12 months and not had a Medicare Initial Physical Exam or Annual Wellness Visit within the last year. If your health care provider orders lab work or refers you to a specialist, any additional services will be billed as usual.
